Institutional Capacity Building and Partnerships as a Strategic Path to Sustainability

Jabal An-Nar Club aims to diversify both local and international funding sources to reduce reliance on external funding and minimize the risks associated with its reduction or cessation. The club is also developing effective mechanisms for generating sustainable income, ensuring the continuity of its essential services to target groups.

To expand its partnership network, the club will strengthen collaboration with institutions across the northern West Bank, especially in marginalized areas, Palestinian refugee camps, and locations affected by closures and incursions. The club will also adopt a community-driven approach as a strategic tool to empower youth to lead local change through impactful initiatives and advocacy campaigns that address community needs and enhance active civic participation.

Priority Areas for Working with Youth

Palestinian youth in the northern West Bank face numerous and complex challenges, including economic shifts, social fragmentation, and conflict—all of which hinder their smooth transition to adulthood and affect their professional development and outlook.

With over two decades of community work experience and in-depth local knowledge, the club has identified three interconnected priority areas forming the framework for youth empowerment:

1. Skills Development:
In light of rapid changes, the focus is on equipping youth with future-ready skills such as digital literacy, critical thinking, adaptability, and creativity, alongside vocational training. Creative spaces are also provided to support self-discovery, teamwork, and transforming challenges into opportunities.

2. Entrepreneurship:
Fostering entrepreneurship opens new economic paths, particularly in areas with limited job opportunities. By supporting social entrepreneurship and providing youth with the space to develop their own projects, the club enables them to craft sustainable solutions to environmental, social, and economic issues while cultivating responsibility and positive influence in their communities.

3. Economic and Social Inclusion:
Enhancing economic and social inclusion is a top priority in the northern West Bank, where disadvantaged youth face entrenched poverty, unemployment, and marginalization. The club seeks to empower youth from diverse backgrounds through peer-led initiatives informed by lived experience. This promotes equitable access to education, career guidance, and integration into the labor market, reinforcing their sense of belonging and motivation to contribute to community development.
