The Program is implemented by the global Mercy Corps Organization in partnership with the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and various local partners in the West Bank and Gaza. It also involves more than 11 private universities in the region. The program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and runs from September 24, 2021, to September 23, 2028. It targets youth aged 10 to 24, as well as their parents and local communities, creating safe spaces for the youth. The program adopts a holistic learning approach aimed at enhancing life skills, promoting mental health and well-being, preparing participants for the job market, and fostering community unity.
Jabal An-Nar Club serves as a key partner in northern West Bank cities, partnering with several organizations, including the Al-Ahli Qalqilya Sports Club, Tubas Sports Club, Shweikeh Cultural Club, Salfit Sports Club, Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development, Nour Shams Charitable Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Seeds for Development and Culture, Charitable Askar Association for Development and Community Development, and Azzun Association for Creativity and Development, along with over 40 other local associations. So far, the program has engaged 6,710 participants of both genders across various age groups, including 5,160 youth aged 10 to 19. Activities include social and psychological initiatives (such as well-being camps and clowning), innovative youth pathways (covering social entrepreneurship, photography workshops, computer skills, artificial intelligence, recreational activities, and folk art), non-formal education in subjects like mathematics, science, and English, innovative learning youth camps, and community youth initiatives.
