






Project Description:
The “Afaq” project aims to enhance employment opportunities for unemployed young men and women in the Nablus Governorate through economic and social empowerment, and by promoting the concept of social entrepreneurship within youth institutions and local community-based organizations.
The project focuses on the most marginalized groups in refugee camps, the Old City, and the southern villages, giving priority to women (65%) and to persons with disabilities (15–20%).
The project provides foundational training in social entrepreneurship, followed by temporary employment opportunities for a period of three months within local community institutions. In addition, it delivers workshops related to digitalization, the green economy, gender equality, and social entrepreneurship, contributing to strengthening youth capacities and enabling their integration into the labor market.
Project Objectives:
• Enhancing future employment opportunities for unemployed youth through economic and social empowerment.
• Supporting the role of youth in community participation and in building entrepreneurial initiatives with social impact
Specific Objective:
• Training 30 young men and women in life skills and social entrepreneurship.
• Providing temporary employment opportunities for 20 beneficiaries within local community institutions.
• Raising awareness among 150 young men and women in the fields of digitalization, green economy, and gender equality.
• Strengthening partnerships with local institutions such as the Ministry of Labor, the Chamber of Commerce, and civil society organizations.
• Building the capacities of partner institutions in applying the concept of social entrepreneurship and implementing sustainable initiatives.

Expected Outputs:
- Training 30 participants in social entrepreneurship (20 beneficiaries + 10 staff members).
- Providing 20 temporary employment opportunities within CBOs in Nablus Governorate.
- Conducting 10 specialized workshops on digitalization, green economy, and gender.
- Reaching 150 young men and women through awareness workshops.
- Raising awareness of the concept of social entrepreneurship among youth and partner institutions.
- Improving employment opportunities for marginalized groups, especially women and people with disabilities.
- Preparing an accredited training package in social entrepreneurship for future use.
